Music Director

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a gifted and anointed Music Director to lead and develop the worship and music ministry of the church. You will oversee choirs, worship teams and instrumentalists, cultivating an atmosphere of excellent, heartfelt worship that draws the congregation into the presence of God.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and develop the church choir, praise team and band across all services.
• Plan song selections and orders of worship in partnership with the pastoral team.
• Recruit, train and mentor singers and musicians of all ages.
• Lead rehearsals and ensure musical excellence and spiritual readiness.
• Oversee the care, maintenance and procurement of musical instruments and equipment.
• Coordinate music for special services, conventions, weddings and funerals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Strong musical ability — vocals and/or proficiency on keyboard, piano or other instruments.
• Proven experience leading a choir or worship team, ideally in a church setting.
• Ability to read music and arrange songs; knowledge of gospel and contemporary worship styles.
• Strong leadership, organisational and people-development skills.
• A worshipper with a heart for God and understanding of the ministry of music.
• Flexibility to work Sundays, midweek services and special events.
