IT Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and maintain the church’s technology infrastructure, systems and digital platforms. You will ensure our staff, ministries and services are reliably supported by secure, modern and well-managed IT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the church’s networks, hardware, software, cloud services and databases.
• Provide day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting for staff and volunteers.
• Oversee cybersecurity, data protection (UK GDPR) and backups.
• Support live-streaming, presentation and online-giving systems in partnership with the media team.
• Plan and manage IT budgets, procurement and supplier relationships.
• Develop IT policies, documentation and train users where needed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Proven experience in IT management or a senior IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of networks, Windows/Cloud environments, and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with data protection and UK GDPR requirements.
• Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Occasional weekend availability to support services and events.
