Director of Christian Education (Ordained Pastor)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an ordained pastor to serve as Director of Christian Education, leading the teaching, discipleship and spiritual formation ministries of the church. You will shape a comprehensive learning pathway for members of all ages — from new converts to mature believers and leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deliver and oversee the church’s Christian education and discipleship curriculum.
• Lead Sunday school, Bible study, new members’ classes and leadership training.
• Recruit, train and supervise teachers and departmental leaders.
• Develop teaching materials and ensure sound, consistent doctrine across all classes.
• Assess spiritual growth and design pathways for discipleship and maturity.
• Work closely with the pastoral team to align education with the church’s vision.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Ordained pastor with strong theological training and teaching gifting.
• Proven experience in Christian education, discipleship or curriculum development.
• Excellent teaching, leadership and organisational abilities.
• Deep knowledge of Scripture and Christian doctrine.
• Ability to inspire and equip teachers and learners of all ages.
• Flexible availability across services and midweek programmes.
